American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her career in support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt she was Willa McPherson, reporter. She also played the role of a supporting character on the show with a short run The Ex List. In the very first season, she was in the role of Moira O'Hara, an untried Moira and in the following season, she played Kaylee. The character was played by Jessie on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in The NBC show This Is Us. She voices various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family were able to move around for a year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she started to develop an interest in acting, photography and singing. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother at age 15 to pursue a career in acting.
